| Jill's Jam Motorcyle Rally And Poker Run takes place the 3rd Saturday of July in downtown Rawlins, Wyoming. This event is endorsed by the City Of Rawlins and an area is blocked off to accomodate this event. Registration is the morning of the event at the event location. There is a $25 entry fee for each person who wants to go on the Poker Run or $40 for couples on the same bike. The poker run begins at a pre-determined time after everybody has drawn their first of five cards. The motorcycles follow a police escort through town to Interstate 80 at which time the riders are on their own. The bikers ride from Rawlins to Creston Junction, turning south and proceeding to the Baggs, Wyoming area where they draw their second card. At this point, they turn east and ride over the Sierra Madre mountains to Riverside, Wyoming where they draw their third card. Then on north to Saratoga where their fourth card is drawn, finally returning to Rawlins to receive their final card to make their poker hand. At the final draw, a participant can buy one additional card for $5.00. A street dance is held downtown until midnight. There are several vendors present during the viewing of the motorcycles where food, snacks, refreshments and apparel are available for sale. This is the largest motorcycle event in southern Wyoming, it grows in popularity each year and we hope to see YOU there next year! |
